Maroof bemutatkozása

Hi, I’m Maroof. I was born and raised in the UK, speak native British English, and achieved A* grades in both English Language and English Literature at GCSE. I now live in Budapest, where I’m a fourth-year medical student at Semmelweis University. I also speak Urdu and Hindi and am currently learning Hungarian, so I appreciate the challenges of learning a new language.

I offer lessons in spoken English, maths, biology, chemistry, physics and medical subjects, including physiology, pathology and microbiology. Whether you want to speak English more confidently, understand a difficult topic or prepare for an exam, I adapt our lessons to your level and goals.

I enjoy making lessons engaging and helping students understand ideas rather than simply memorise facts. Studying medicine has shown me how important it is to know how to learn, so I begin by reviewing your study habits, identifying what works well and helping you improve what is less effective.

I’m patient, approachable and happy to explain something in different ways until it makes sense. You can ask questions freely and learn at your own pace, with encouragement and practical feedback along the way.

As a medical student at Semmelweis University and a native British English speaker, I combine a strong scientific background with clear communication. I offer lessons in spoken English, maths, biology, chemistry, physics, physiology, pathology and microbiology.

I begin by exploring how you currently learn: how you approach new topics, organise information, revise and test your understanding. Together, we identify what is working well and which habits may be holding you back. This helps me tailor lessons to your needs and suggest practical ways to make your studying more effective.

My approach is simple: understand, don’t just memorise. I break complex topics into manageable steps, using examples, diagrams and guided questions to help you connect ideas. I also teach techniques such as active recall and spaced repetition, helping you retain information and retrieve it confidently.

A typical lesson starts with a brief review of your understanding and goals. We then explore the topic together, practise applying it through questions or exercises, and finish with a recap and a realistic plan for independent study. Spoken English lessons focus on conversation, with constructive feedback on pronunciation, vocabulary and expression.

I aim to be patient, approachable and adaptable. I encourage questions and create an environment where mistakes are a useful part of learning. Lessons move at your pace, with explanations adjusted to your understanding.

My lessons are suitable for school students seeking support in maths and sciences, university and medical students studying subjects within my knowledge, and learners who want to improve their spoken English. Whether you are preparing for an exam or building confidence, my goal is to help you become a more capable, independent learner.
